The soundtrack to this bloody amusement is so close to old SLAYER that one might assume that these guys were fathered backstage after the legendary SLAYER show in Poperinge. Throwing a fistbanging Heavy Metal part into the thrashing cyclone is not beyond the EVIL SHEPHERD, so expect a splendid raging time with this album. Unless you're a priest. One could just state that "this is the best MEGADETH album since "Rust In Piece"" but would not do these guys from Nürnberg any justice. Clearly, a band called MECHANIX doesn't even try to hide their inspiration yet songs like 'My Style' or 'Collateral Damage' go far beyond mere cloning and simply pick up where the original artist lost it almost 20 years ago. Released in June 2010.

Bands like ARCANE, KINETIC DISSENT, ICED EARTH, BLACKKOUT or BITTER END were trying to fill the void left by their forebearers and though most of them are forgotten today, they did not have any less talent and deserve to be remembered. Alternating between the realms of Speed, Power and Thrash Metal, New Jersey's own HORRIFIER follow these traditions on their debut full length, as great songs like 'Premonition' or 'Exordium / From Beyond The Grave' (featuring a guest appearance by ICED EARTH drummer Greg Seymour) clearly show. Released in May 2010.

1) The shirts have arrived. I don't have them yet but they are at the local post office and I'll pick them up today (April 20th) after work.
2) The CDs are ready and have already been sent on by my US contact. Unfortunately european airspace has been closed for the past 3 days thanks to that volcano in Iceland and thus, neither passenger nor postal planes can land in Europe at this moment. Which means my CDs are somewhere in transit and short of swimming to Iceland and pissing out that volcano there's nothing I can do.

Songs like 'Disinclination' or 'Sabotage Of My Youth' were mostly taken from the band's "Last Eclipse" (1999) and "Silent Is The Future" (2001) demos and to celebrate their 10th anniversary, were rerecorded for this special album. As always one can expect heavy yet melodic Death Metal. The first 100 copies come with a SCYTHE sew on logo patch (still available !). Released in August 2004.

I made a few suggestions to Saevus which I think will massively improve the album (and t-shirt) art. Unfortunately, committing these ideas to canvas takes time and will thus further delay the release of "Burning Scripture". I wouldn't do this if I didn't think it was absolutely worth it so please do bear with me.

Chor has been working on this again and it looks like there will be a 3rd MEGIDDO album after all.
Besides MEGIDDO he also works with SEPULCHRE which is basically the "Atavism Of Evil" line-up of MEGIDDO. This will also be released on BW.

Hello everybody !
Some may have noticed that BARBARIAN WRATH has ben unusually silent these past month and indeed, since the release of FAUSTCOVEN and TEARSTAINED in July 2008 not much has happened. The reasons for this are many and mostly of a private nature. Things are now about to change.

The next batch of BARBARIAN WRATH releases will be COUNTESS' "Burning Scripture" CD, WARHORDEs "Death Rattle" CD and a COUNTESS t-shirt. The t-shirt will be limited to 200 and will only be sold as package together with both CDs.

In essence this means that in order to provide everyone with a shirt that fits I will need 200 preorders. I'm currently researching shirt prices and I'm confident that the packages can be sold for 40 EUR or slightly less. I will post further news concerning this once I have a detailed price, descriptions and mp3s up and designs and layouts ready.

Einigen ist vielleicht aufgefallen, daß es in den letzten Monaten ungewöhnlich still um BARBARIAN WRATH war und daß seit der Veröffentlichung von FAUSTCOVEN und TEARSTAINED im Juli 2008 nicht viel passiert ist. Die Gründe dafür sind vielfältig und meist privater Natur. Und jetzt tut sich wieder etwas.

Im Detail bedeutet das, daß ich, um jedem ein Shirt in seiner Größe zukommen lassen zu können, ich 200 Vorbestellungen benötige. Ich bin gerade dabei, T-Shirt Preise zu vergleichen, aber ich bin zuversichtlich, daß ich das Packet für einen Preis von unter 40 EUR anbieten kann. PATECABRA is dead

Master Serra posted the following words... I don't know what to expect myself next but I have hope there's more good music in the guy.

After much thought and consideration, I decided to lay the "band" to rest. Nearly a year has passed since I made the last song of the "band" ("El Olor de la Muerte", in case you care to know) and after that period I began composing again, but the new material is so different in concept and scope (albeit not much in sound - I can only sound one way) that putting the name 'Patecabra' would be less than adequate for it.

The new material is way more ambitious and uncompromising that Patecabra would ever be and I think that the honest thing to do is to let something that didn't have much life on it to begin with, die a quiet death - after all, the "band" (I love how people still think that it is a full band and not a solo project :) ) was created only as a a way to channel my influences and nothing more, and didn't have much of a concept or ideology behind it. Something like that can only get so far, but it was a nice ride, even with all the mistakes that, in the end, made me a lot wiser.

This so called "ride" can best be summed up like this: I'm a whole different person than I was when I did my last recording with this project and it's best to move on into bigger, better things.
